This year, the school has ensured that the fervour of patriotism lives on, even in the online Independence
Day celebrations which lasted for three days.
We had enthusiastic participation by the students. The tiny tots of Pre-primary wing were all dressed up and recited slogans. The little kids performed a march past on the song ‘ Nanha munna rahi hu’.
We had a Saffron/white and Green session on 13 August and August 14 respectively, in which the
teachers imparted knowledge about the significance of the three colours of our national flag. A
short documentary movie showcasing the Pre-independence era was shown to the students. A quiz competition based on the documentary was organized.
The children prepared a dance and learnt patriotic songs. The students of Grade 4, 5 and 6 prepared speeches and wrote messages for the soldiers on border. This inculcated a feeling of gratitude amongst students. The students also participated in poetry recitation and flag making activity. They were all appreciated for their active participation.
On August 15, the school organized the flag hoisting celebration where all the staff members participated online. The virtual event was live on Facebook. Our hon’ble Chairman Mr. Praveen Thakral and our Principal Ms. Swapna A. Aphale hoisted the flag and prayed for the world peace and health. Chairman Mr. Praveen Thakral wished all the students and staff and urged everyone to face the current situation on Covid, with all positivity and determination.
